liquid light is the artist name of Sotiris Riniou,a dj,musician,producer and Blue Bass founder ,originally from Greece.Standing on the crossroad between musicianship,djing and record label management,Sotiris is bound to develop his creative flow in a diverse spectrum of activities.From the organised world of record label management to the spontaneous nature of creative expression Sotiris wears many hats and cannot have it any other way.
Sotiris did his debut in discography in 2001 with vinyl releases in record labels in the Uk,Germany,Italy and Greece.However he always had the vision of creating a base, where underground electronic music would find ways to express and develop.Dj liquid light is not another a& r guy,who got into the music industry by working in record shops.Being originally a musician and a dj he helped define the sound of Blue Bass in an active participative manner.He also developed as a live/dj outfit that would occasionally reach up to 4 members with added musicians like percussionists and sax players.For Sotiris a performance either dj or live is closely associated with the concept of taking people on a journey through ever-shifting music forms.Blue Bass encapsulates Sotiris’ vision for electronic dance music through a wide spectrum of deep soundcolors.Mediteranean deepness touching balearing colors,deep rhythms,exotic & dub mood mixed with a profound feeling of deep techno.
Sotiris’ deep roots in music started during his childhood,when he enrolled in a music school to learn piano and keyboards.A few years later,inspired by science fiction,surreal analogue strangess,early electronica ,funk,soul and a hint of psychedelic imagery,he got into electronic dance music and djing.His did his debut in discography in in 2001 with a deep house vinyl ep with more releases following in labels in Greece,US Germany,UK and Italy along with dj gigs around Greece.His releases have been supported from djs,blogs ,and dance music fans.

He started Blue Bass in 2005 with a release of his own:liquid light-loverise released on vinyl and digital.This first release,as well as the second “groove addiction” immediately caught the attention of djs and music fans receiving support from Laurent Garnier,Dave Mothersole, KISS fm London,,dj mag uk,Hernan Cattaneo,James Zabiela,Antony Pappa,Moshic and many others.

More releases have followed on Blue Bass from liquid light as well as from other underground artists from Greece,Italy,US, the UK and elsewhere shaping Blue Bass sound and receiving further support from Danny Tenaglia,Nick Warren,Paranoid Jack,Presslaboys,Lemmon8,Dirty Vegas,and many other tastemaker djs.Nowdays Blue Bass also counts two more labels,Avatone recordings and Black Star Music focused on high quality electronic dance music.

liquid light είναι το καλλιτεχνικό ψευδώνυμο του Σωτήρη Ρηνιού, dj, μουσικού, παραγωγού και ιδρυτή της Bass Bass.Στο σταυροδρόμι μεταξύ μουσικότητας, djing και δισκογραφίας,ο Σωτήρης δεσμεύεται να αναπτύξει δημιουργική ροή του σε ένα ευρύ φάσμα δραστηριοτήτων.Ο Σωτήρης έκανε το ντεμπούτο του στη δισκογραφία το 2001 με κυκλοφορίες σε βινύλιο, σε δισκογραφικές εταιρείες στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο, τη Γερμανία, την Ιταλία και την Ελλάδα.Παρόλα αυτά είχε πάντα το όραμα της δημιουργίας μιας βάσης, όπου η underground ηλεκτρονική μουσική θα έβρισκε τρόπους να εκφραστεί και να αναπτυχθεί.Οντας αρχικά μουσικός και dj βοήθησε να καθορίσει τον ήχο της Blue Bass συμμετεχοντας ενεργά.Το liquid light έχει επίσης αναπτυχθεί ως ένα live / dj σχήμα που μπορεί να φτάσει έως και 4 μέλη με προσθήκη μουσικούς όπως κρουστά,σαξόφωνο κ.α.Γιά τον Σωτήρη, μία μουσική performance,dj ή live είναι στενά συνδεδεμένη με την έννοια του να ταξιδεύει τους ακροατές σε ένα ταξίδι μέσα από συνεχώς μεταλλασόμενες μουσικές φόρμες.Η Blue Bass συμπυκνώνει το όραμα του Σωτήρη για την ηλεκτρονική χορευτική μουσική μέσα από ένα ευρύ φάσμα ηχοχρωμάτων.Μεσογειακό βάθος, εξωτική & dub διάθεση αναμεμειγμένη με μια βαθιά αίσθηση techno.
Έχοντας μεγαλώσει στην Ελλάδα εκτίθεται σε ένα ευρύ φάσμα επιρροών, από electro, house, funk, την υποτροπική γοητεία των μελωδιών της Μεσογείου , και την εξωτική ηχώ των tribal ρυθμών, ο Σωτήρης έχει διαμορφώσει ένα διαφορετικό, βαθύ εναλλακτικό μουσικό όραμα.

Ξεκίνησε την Blue Bass το 2005, με μια δική του δουλειά: liquid light-loverise που κυκλοφόρησε σε βινύλιο και digital download.Αυτή η πρώτη κυκλοφορία , καθώς και η δεύτερη “groove addiction” τράβηξε αμέσως την προσοχή των djs και fans της ηλεκτρονικής μουσικής και έλαβε θετική στήριξη από djs,όπως Laurent Garnier ,Dave Mothersole, Kiss FM του Λονδίνου,DJ Mag uk, Hernan Cattaneo, James Zabiela, Antony Pappa, Moshic και πολλοί άλλους.

Ακολούθησαν και άλλες δισκογραφικές δουλειές για Blue Bass από το liquid light, καθώς και από άλλους underground καλλιτέχνες από την Ελλάδα, την Ιταλία, τις ΗΠΑ, το Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο και αλλού,διαμορφώνοντας τον ήχο της Blue Bass με τις κυκλοφορίες της εταιρίας να παίζονται από djs όπως Danny Tenaglia, Nick Warren, Paranoid Jack, Presslaboys, Lemmon8, Dirty Vegas, και πολλούς ακόμα.Αυτή τη στιγμή η Blue Bass συμπεριλαμβάνει επίσης δύο ακόμα εταιρίες,εστιασμένες στην υψηλής ποιότητας ηλεκτρονική και χορευτική μουσική την Avatone recordings και Black Star music.
